Wormholes in 2d Hor?va-Lifshitz quantum gravity

چکیده
We quantize the two-dimensional projectable Hor?va-Lifshitz gravity with a bi-local as well space-like wormhole interaction. The resulting quantum Hamiltonian coincides one obtained through summing over all genus in string field theory for causal dynamical triangulations. This implies that our interaction can be interpreted splitting or joining of one-dimensional strings.

Relativistic Quantum Gravity at a Lifshitz Point
We show that the Hořava theory for the completion of General Relativity at UV scales can be interpreted as a gauge fixed Tensor-Vector theory, and it can be extended to an invariant theory under the full group of four-dimensional diffeomorphisms. In this respect, although being fully relativistic, it results to be locally anisotropic in the time-like and space-like directions defined by a famil...
متن کاملQuantum Gravity at a Lifshitz Point
We present a candidate quantum field theory of gravity with dynamical critical exponent equal to z = 3 in the UV. (As in condensed matter systems, z measures the degree of anisotropy between space and time.) This theory, which at short distances describes interacting nonrelativistic gravitons, is power-counting renormalizable in 3 + 1 dimensions. When restricted to satisfy the condition of deta...
متن کاملDamaging 2D Quantum Gravity
We investigate numerically the behaviour of damage spreading in a Kauffman cellular automaton with quenched rules on a dynamical φ graph, which is equivalent to coupling the model to discretized 2D gravity. The model is interesting from the cellular automaton point of view as it lies midway between a fully quenched automaton with fixed rules and fixed connectivity and a (soluble) fully annealed...
متن کاملQuenching 2D Quantum Gravity
We simulate the Ising model on a set of fixed random φ graphs, which corresponds to a quenched coupling to 2D gravity rather than the annealed coupling that is usually considered. We investigate the critical exponents in such a quenched ensemble and compare them with measurements on dynamical φ graphs, flat lattices and a single fixed φ graph. ADRIAN R. COOPER Stanford Linear Accelerator Center Stanford University, Stanford, California 94309 ABSTRACT We argue that existing discussions of discretised random surfaces with boundaries are incomplete, and give the correct versions for Kazakov’s multicritical models. This leads to the calculation of self-avoiding loops on the surfaces, and uncovers a new type of phase transition. Applying ...
